Lists

I am slowly checking things off my 'list of things to do in London.' In reality, the list could be never ending, as there is always something to do in London - from those that are forever present, to the those which only come around once a year or less.

Today, I went to the Borough Market. It is on the south bank along the river Thames and it is an amazing food market! It originated as just a market with loads and loads of fresh fruits and vegetables, but now, while the fresh foods are still there, the market is covered with small restaurant/food vendors and vendors selling specialty items like cheese, desserts, greek spreads, etc. The BEST part about this market, however, are the samples!!! Yum! Every vender freely samples there delicious goods. It is easy to make a meal out of a day of sampling at the market, but there is so much other great food an drink being freshly cooked that it is difficult not to by a warm sandwhich or freshly made soup as well. This market is kinda like Costco, only much more cute and the food is way better (hard to believe, i know).

(Dad, this picture is for you. Just so you know that you are not the only one who would live on only chicken if he could...)

Tonight I will be taking advantage of Free London and going up to Old Street to watch a film sponsored by Amnesty International, called 'The End of Poverty,' based on the book by Jeffery Sachs. Should be a good time!!
